Visit 20 galleries for a night of art, community and cocktails on the monthly art walk through Coral Gables. You can walk from gallery to gallery, or take the trolley or event mini-bus up Ponce from Merrick Park all the way up to Menores Avenue.

Coconut GroveDrum Circle in Coconut Grove The circle will be held in the atrium on the Grand Avenue side of the plaza, located under the Knife restaurant. Parking is available in the lot directly in front of the atrium on Grand and Fuller or on the street. The drumming is in conjunction with the September Coconut Grove Gallery Walk. BluMoon Gallery, directly above the atrium, is featuring the work of Atena Komar.  Bring drums and chairs if you have them; we have some extra instruments and seating.

Coconut Grove Bed RaceThe Annual Great Grove Bed Race – The Bed Race is a free community event and fundraiser in Coconut Grove, Florida. The event proves a community can come together, have fun, be unique and hilarious and raise funds for the University of Miami and the Alonzo Mourning Charities. The race involves rolling beds down a 1/8th mile “drag strip” street in Coconut Grove with the local community, individuals, businesses, organizations, and clubs sponsoring the beds

Monday, September 6, 2010 – Miami Labor Day Events

Raven Miami BeachRaven Run – Join Robert Kraft for an 8 mile run and be added to the “Raven List”

He started running with some boxers from the 5th Street Gym and slowly built up to 8 miles  He made a New Years resolution to run 8 miles a day for one year starting on January 1st, 1975.  He found the benefits mentally, physically and spiritually were all positive so he kept running 8 miles a day on the sands of South Beach.   He hasn’t stopped yet and hit 100,000 miles in ’09.
