Waterfront homes in Coral Gables

With nearly 66% of the total area within the city limits being water, there is no shortage of waterfront properties in Coral Gables. From canal front to direct bay front, there is a waterfront property to fit a large range of lifestyles and budgets. While most homes in the exclusive waterfront communities such as Gables Estates, Gables by the Sea and Cocoplum are waterfront, many homes inland are as well, thanks to our extensive canal system. "No Bridges to Bay" is a description you will see often, indicating that larger boats can directly access Biscayne Bay. But don't give up entirely on the homes that do have a few bridges to navigate, it just may mean that the boat might need to be not quite so larger. Both bay front and canal front homes will normally have a sea wall, a man made wall where land ends and water begins. Only a select few homes (found mostly in Tahiti Beach) have an actual beach. Tahiti Beach was developed in the 1920s by George Merrick as a beach for the residents of Coral Gables, but has since been developed into one of the most exclusive enclaves of luxury waterfront homes in all of Miami-Dade County. Miami has so much to offer for the water-lover, why not enjoy it directly from your own backyard?
